How to add website Links to the Start Menu

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Ever thought about adding your favorite Website to your start menu? This will allow you to open the website whether you have the browser window open or not--perfect for us lazy people. Add one or a couple of your favorites and have instant access to them.

*"Right-Click on the START button, the select EXPLORE

*Windows Explorer will open, on the right there will probably be folders--do not click on them--instead--Right-Click on the open area, A Box will show up--Select NEW, then SHORTCUT.

*In the box " Type the Location", enter the Web address and click Next.
Now you can give your shortcut a Title---Click Finish.

If you are using the Classic Start Menu---bingo--it's there. If you are using the Normal Start Menu, you will find it in programs--that is not what we wanted--but never fear--you can simply click on it and Drag and Drop it to the Start Menu!
